How can I record my baby’s heartbeat during an ultrasound? You can record your baby’s heartbeat using either your phone’s voice recording app or by taking a video during the ultrasound. Simply hold your phone and record while the technician plays the heartbeat. If you’re unsure, let your technician know you’d like to record the sound—they’re always happy to help.
-
How long should my recording be during the ultrasound for my baby's heartbeat? We recommend a recording of at least 15 seconds, but longer recordings are always welcome. This ensures we have enough sound to create a beautifully personalized composition for you.
-
Does the quality of my recording matter? No, the quality of your recording doesn’t have to be perfect! Whether you record with audio or video, we can extract the heartbeat sound and enhance it for your custom piano composition. Background noise or lower clarity won’t be an issue.
-
Can I record my baby’s heartbeat using a Doppler at home?Yes! If you have a fetal Doppler at home, you can use your phone to record either a video or an audio clip of the heartbeat. Just place the Doppler probe on your belly, find the heartbeat, and record while holding your phone close to the device’s speaker.
-
My ultrasound clinic doesn’t allow video recording—can I still record the heartbeat?Yes! Clinics allow audio recordings. You can use your phone’s voice memo app to capture just the sound. If video is allowed, you can record that as well, and we’ll extract the heartbeat audio for you. If you’re unsure, ask your technician beforehand.
